Programs, Events & Scholarships

For nearly 20 years, iDareU Academy has focused on developing the whole student athlete—academically, athletically, mentally, and socially. Our programs, events, and scholarship initiatives are built on a strong foundation of structure, discipline, mentorship, and measurable outcomes.

Every initiative we implement is intentional. From position specific training and college exposure to financial literacy, NIL education, mental wellness, domestic violence awareness, and career pathway support, our work is designed to meet athletes where they are—while preparing them for where they are going.

Many of our core programs were established years ago and have produced over $52M+ in scholarships for more than 400 student athletes. At the same time, we continuously evolve to address the realities today’s athletes face, including NIL pressures, social media influence, financial responsibility, and life after sports.

As we continue to grow into our next 20 years (2006–2026 and beyond), we welcome individuals, organizations, and community leaders who have information, expertise, time, or financial resources to contribute to the advancement of our young men and women.

It truly takes a collective effort to build legacy leaders.

At iDareU, we don’t just train athletes.
We build disciplined, educated, and prepared young adults ready for their 5th Quarter — life beyond the game.

5th Quarter Initiative

Career Pathways, Internships & Job Placement Initiative

At iDareU, we believe true development goes beyond athletic performance. Our commitment to young men and women includes preparing them for sustainable careers through structured internship pipelines and job placement opportunities that support long-term success beyond sports.

For our high school student-athletes, we provide early exposure to professional environments through paid and unpaid internships across a wide range of industries. These experiences help students build workplace skills, understand professional expectations, explore career interests, and develop confidence in real-world settings—while reinforcing the importance of accountability, communication, and time management.

For our college student-athletes and alumni, iDareU offers direct job placement support by leveraging our network of corporate partners, small businesses, alumni leaders, and community stakeholders. We assist with résumé development, interview preparation, career matching, and employer connections to help students transition smoothly from college into meaningful, career-aligned employment.

This initiative ensures that every iDareU athlete is equipped not only to compete on the field, but to thrive in the workforce, becoming productive professionals, leaders, and contributors to their communities long after the final whistle.

 Mental Meditation Moments - M3

Mental Meditation Moments (M³) is a structured wellness initiative designed to strengthen the mind, body, and emotional discipline of student-athletes and families within the iDareU community. The “M³” symbolizes Mental ×3 — reinforcing that peak performance is not just physical; it is mental, emotional, and spiritual alignment working together.

This program integrates guided meditation, breathwork, mindfulness training, and yoga instruction to cultivate focus, resilience, emotional regulation, and recovery.

Why M³ Matters

In high-performance environments — especially with the pressure surrounding recruitment, NIL opportunities, scholarships, and competition — mental stability becomes a competitive advantage.

M³ supports:

• Stress management and anxiety reduction
• Improved concentration and game-time focus
• Emotional regulation and decision-making
• Injury recovery support through mobility and breathwork
• Increased self-awareness and leadership development
• Academic clarity and discipline

For iDareU’s mission of preparing athletes for the 5th Quarter (life beyond sports), mental fitness is non-negotiable.

 Juvenile Prevention Program

The Juvenile Prevention Program is designed to intervene early with young men and women who are at risk of continuing down a destructive path. Our mission is to identify these youth and redirect them toward a path of promise, purpose, and accountability.

Through strategic partnerships with the juvenile justice system, schools, and community stakeholders, we identify participants who demonstrate athletic potential and provide them with structured alternatives through sports, mentorship, and life-skills development.

By leveraging athletics as an engagement tool, we create access to discipline, positive role models, academic support, and personal development resources.

This program is built on the belief that exposure, structure, and opportunity—when combined with consistent mentorship—can fundamentally alter a young person’s trajectory. Our goal is not simply prevention, but transformation: reducing recidivism, restoring confidence, and empowering participants to make positive, long-term life choices both on and off the field.

Educational Tours

College Educational Tours play a critical role in shaping the academic vision, motivation, and long-term aspirations of young people—especially for students in the Atlanta Metro area who may have limited access to college environments. For many of these kids, a college campus is not just unfamiliar; it is something they have never physically seen or experienced. Educational tours transform the idea of college from an abstract concept into a tangible, attainable goal.

By walking a campus, sitting in classrooms, visiting dorms, and engaging with college students and staff, young men and women begin to see themselves in those spaces. This exposure helps break down mental and social barriers, replacing uncertainty with confidence and curiosity. For students who may not come from families with college-going traditions, these experiences are often the first time they can visualize life beyond high school in a meaningful way.

College tours also ignite excitement and purpose. When kids see the opportunities available—academic programs, athletics, student organizations, and career pathways—it connects their current efforts in school and sports to real outcomes. Grades, discipline, and preparation suddenly matter more when students understand why they are working toward something.

For many youth in the Atlanta Metro, college educational tours are not a luxury—they are a necessity. They provide exposure, inspiration, and clarity, helping students understand that higher education is not only possible, but within reach. These experiences plant seeds of ambition that can change trajectories, open doors, and ultimately empower students to pursue college with confidence and intention.

 Financial Literacy Curriculum

The Financial Literacy & NIL Education Program is designed to prepare student-athletes and their families to responsibly manage income earned through Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities, revenue sharing, stipends, and other forms of compensation in today’s evolving college athletics landscape. As athletes are increasingly receiving significant financial opportunities at a young age, education and guidance are essential to ensure long-term success on and off the field.

This program provides structured financial education, practical tools, and family engagement to help student-athletes make informed decisions, avoid financial pitfalls, and build sustainable habits that extend beyond their playing careers.

Program Objectives

• Educate student-athletes on responsible money management and financial decision-making
• Provide a clear understanding of NIL agreements, contracts, and revenue-share structures
• Equip families with the knowledge needed to support and protect their athlete
• Promote financial discipline, accountability, and long-term planning
• Reduce the risk of exploitation, mismanagement, and short-term financial behavior

Core Focus Areas

• Budgeting and cash-flow management
• Understanding NIL contracts, endorsements, and compensation structures
• Tax awareness and compliance
• Saving, investing, and wealth-building fundamentals
• Credit management and financial reputation
• Planning for life after sports

Family Engagement Component

A key pillar of the program is parent involvement. Parents and guardians are encouraged — and in many cases required — to participate in educational sessions to ensure alignment, oversight, and shared accountability. Financial success is most sustainable when families are informed and engaged alongside the student-athlete.

Outcome & Impact

By completing the Financial Literacy & NIL Education Program, student-athletes and families are better prepared to protect opportunities, manage earnings responsibly, and build a strong foundation for lifelong financial stability — ensuring that today’s success becomes tomorrow’s legacy.

Another Approach - (D.V.A.)

Another Approach is our annual Domestic Violence Awareness initiative designed to educate, protect, and empower families by addressing one of the most urgent and often hidden threats to healthy homes and communities. Domestic violence is not just a private family matter—it is a public health and community issue that affects emotional stability, academic success, mental health, and long-term life outcomes, especially for children.

Why Domestic Violence Awareness Is Important

Domestic violence occurs across all socioeconomic, racial, and educational backgrounds. Many victims suffer in silence due to fear, shame, or lack of resources. Awareness creates:

• Education – helping people recognize unhealthy behaviors early
• Prevention – interrupting cycles of abuse before they escalate
• Access – connecting families to support services and safe resources
• Accountability – reinforcing that abuse is never acceptable

By increasing awareness, Another Approach encourages individuals and families to seek help, speak up, and choose healthier paths forward.

AF6 HBCU Scholarship

The AF6 – HBCU Scholarship is a one-year award established by iDareU Academy Inc. to
support an athlete who we believe has been overlooked for various circumstances. This
scholarship is designed to provide the recipient with an opportunity to compete at the
collegiate level where their talent, work ethic, and potential can be fully realized.
Through this one-year award, the athlete will be positioned for maximum exposure and
development, with the objective of earning a full athletic scholarship following their initial
year. iDareU Academy Inc. has full confidence that this investment will significantly
enhance the athlete’s chances for long-term collegiate and athletic success.
The AF6 – HBCU Scholarship is named in honor of Addison Ford Sr., who passed away in
2020 due to COVID-19. Addison was known as a relentless supporter of his family,
teammates, and friends—a true encourager whose presence positively impacted everyone
around him.
A native of Columbus, Georgia, Addison attended Carver High School, where he played
high school football before earning an athletic scholarship to Morris Brown University, a
historically Black college and university (HBCU). While at Morris Brown, he played
quarterback and proudly wore the number six, which inspired the scholarship’s name,
AF6.
The character traits Addison exemplified—leadership, perseverance, humility, and
unwavering support for others—are the same qualities sought in each AF6 Scholarship
recipient.
This award is available to both male and female student-athletes across all sports.
